It is essential that the consultant of your choice is able to demonstrate competence. One way to do this is through membership of professional bodies such as IOSH and IEMA. An explanation of our membership grades is provided below.
Professional Membership explained
A Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) is recognised throughout the world as a person who is at the top of their profession. To obtain Chartered status, members must have current knowledge, a diverse wealth of experience and relevant qualifications. CMIOSH also has the respect of their industry peers. Other OSH professionals know that this person has been through a rigorous process within IOSH and satisfied the requirements of the world’s leading professional OSH body. A Chartered Member shows commitment to the future of occupational safety and health (OSH) on a global stage. People and organisations recognise that this person shares the values and aims of the world’s leading OSH organisation and has committed to a ‘best practice’ approach to everything they do. Full Chartered Members of IOSH may use the suffix “CMIOSH” after their name.
