So what does equality and diversity actually mean? Equality focuses on the law and people’s rights, and diversity looks at how we can accept and celebrate our differences. Equality laws exist to identify, tackle and eradicate unlawful discrimination, to help us improve our workplace cultures and behaviours. This can often be quite a challenge, so the first step is to increase our knowledge, understanding and skills in this area. At the end of the course delegates are required to complete a short assessment to demonstrate their understanding.
